Doggie Day Care Help
I am looking for a doggie day care for my 1 year old maltipoo who needs to get out some extra energy during the day when I am at work. I work in Woodbury. Anyone have any advice or experiences? I know Petsmart has a doggie daycare but I don't know anyone who leaves their pup there. Help! Thanks :)

Re: Doggie Day Care Help
We use petsmart doggy day care all of the time! When she was a puppy to about age two she was going at least once a week. One day in doggy daycare exhausted her!! We can't even say the name in the house without her going crazy. Now that she's 7 she goes once a month, mostly just to get out of the house when the house cleaners come. They all know her name there and we get a report card when we pick her up! We also use pet smart for boarding her too, so that way she can go to the daycare during the day and tire herself out and she's not locked in a crate/small room all day.

Doggie Day Care Help
I know tons of people who use the doggie daycare at Petsmart in farmngdale and love it. I even know one of the employees and she works at my DSs daycare. I trust her with my DS so I def would trust her with my Rocky.
I would try it out for a day or two and see how it works out. You can always try someplace esle.

Re: Doggie Day Care Help
I've been using Petsmart daycamp for about 3 or 4 years. It is wonderful! I was nervous early on but I had comfort in the fact that its in a store with glass windows where passersby can see what's going on. I've called and even snuck in to peek at her and all has always been well. I use Farmingdale and Lake Grove most often but go to Huntington now and again too. The staff at each location knows her as soon as we walk in and she goes running up to them. She does bolt out at the end of the day but I think she's just happy to see DH or I...it never seems like she's leaving upset. They give a report at the end of each visit. I have had nothing but good experiences there...knock wood!
Eta they sometimes have different parties for them and they will give you pictures etc when you pick them up at night...cracks me up every time. My favorite was one where the put here face in the cutout of a hulagirl. So ridiculous but yet so cute.

Re: Doggie Day Care Help
I love love my dog sitter! She's in Huntington. My cousin uses her all the time. I use her only when we go away but she's phenomenal and only 12 dollars a day! (25.00 overnight).
Fm me if you want her number!

Re: Doggie Day Care Help
I've left my dog at Petsmart in Farmingdale before for both daycare and boarding, they are great!
Call me paranoid, but I'm afraid to leave my dog at anyone's house but my mom and sister where she knows them because my biggest fear is that she might run out the door looking for me if she is at a place she isn't familiar with. I feel safer leaving her at Petsmart since I know she can't run away, they don't walk them outside into the street.
