Re: Anybody have a CVS?
I had one with my 1st pregnancy due to complications (unfortunately, we already knew the pregnancy would not go to term and I would miscarry when we did the CVS - we were doing it to find out if there were any genetic things going on that caused what had happened). Anyway, mine was a fairly simple procedure. It didn't hurt...just a little pressure at times....fairly quick....maybe 10 minutes. Basically the sono tech holds the sonogram in place so the MD can see what he is doing. They place the instruments up there, do their thing and are done pretty quick.

Re: Anybody have a CVS?
I had one with my twins. It was pretty quick. It was definitely a little uncomfortable for me, but not painful just pressure where they insert the needles. I was so overly nervous for nothing.
My DH was allowed in the room for support. It really helped a lot.
Sorry, I forgot to mention, it was done through my belly, not vaginally.
Good Luck!

Re: Anybody have a CVS?
I had on with preg #3 to rule out a genetic issue. Unfortunately I had an anterior placenta so it had to be done through my belly vs vaginally and was somewhat uncomfortable. I was a bit crampy afterwards but it subsided.... I would do it again if I had to....
