Ladies with repeat implantation failure
Wondering if you can share your stories. What is your dx, what avenues are you/have you explored, etc? This will be my 3rd IVF cycle with no implantation and I'm trying to data gather before our next FET. TIA!

Ladies with repeat implantation failure
I ended up having immune issues. I was tested and treated by Dr. Braverman and have a baby boy due on June 6th. I live in SC so it was a little more difficult to be treated by him, but if I lived in NY, I would have seen him much earlier. Best wishes!

Ladies with repeat implantation failure
i didnt have failed cycles but i had chemicals which can often be caused by issues during implantation. in addition to PCOS i also did immune testing with dr. B. he treated me for elevated NK, a clotting issue, and an HLA-C match with my husband. i was doing timed intercourse cycles and was treated with baby aspirin, lovenox, and intralipids. i had success with my first IVF and delivered my in May of 2011. during that cycle i was on lovenox, intralipids every 3w until 12w, and baby aspirin, among all the other IVF meds.
all of that being said, the treatment worked to keep me pregnant through the first trimester, but i had many third trimester complications; including pre-eclampsia that developed into HELLP syndrome causing me to have to deliver via emergency c-section at 33w. my daughter was IUGR (growth restricted) and only 3.5lbs when she was born. i also had placenta accreta and nearly needed a hysterctomy to stop the bleeding during my c-section. i believe most of the issues were caused by failures at the time of implantation even though they didnt manifest until the third trimester. i wasnt seeing a high-risk dr until i was DX pre-e and i do believe if i saw a specialized dr, like maybe dr. Kofinas, we couldve seen the placental issues much earlier (it was only discovered during my c-section) and had a better birth plan, but it is what it is. luckily its been 2.5 years since my IVF and detection and treatment of immune issues has grown immensely.
im telling this story not to scare but to further the point of how important it is to be treated by someone who specializes in immune issues. when we are ready to TTC again we will go back to dr. B because i know he will do whatever he can to ensure that i dont have the same issues i had with my daughter. its not just about implantation and getting pregnant and getting through the first tri - its about carrying a healthy pregnancy to term. i have researched this as much as a non-doctor could and please know that being treated correctly for autoimmune issues at the time of ovulation/implantation is so immensely important to a healthy term pregnancy. there are so many very complicated systems working hand-in-hand it's such a wonderful miracle that most people have normal healthy pregnancies. you cannot just see a doctor who doesnt know or truly believe in immune rejection of pregnancy - you need someone who will do the comprehensive testing and be completely on top of the newest, most specified treatment methods. please FM if you want to chat further and good luck!!
