Need a suggestion on paint colors

Hey Ladies....

We are re-painting our entire house and have most of the colors picked except our kitchen.... Our cabinets are a medium maple almost honey like in color....backsplash is very neutral and countertops ares speckled browns/grays (its weird)

The adjacent rooms are slate blue, latte and green...


There is very minimal wall space (only really above the cabinets and around the door)

I'm slightly leaning towards a chocolate brown but am so afraid it will be too dark. What do you ladies think?

too dark! We tried that in the hallway and it was a BAD choice

Maybe light grey (to pick up a color in the counters)?

Or a cream or pale yellow color?

I tend to like blues and greens in general, and especially in a kitchen, so would a shade of that work (I know you said adjacent rooms are those colors, so maybe a shade or 2 lighter or darker on the paint strip?)

take a look at these swatches or online at BM's website... you can actually create an online room and put colors up and see how they look...

We went with a very light creamy color. My kitchen sounds very similar to yours. I forgot the name of the color- it may have been Behr Parisian Taupe.
