I need a liquid foundation reccomendation
I've been using Makeup Forever HD liquid foundation but I'm finding that it's very cakey and heavy. I want something with good coverage, but also that doesn't cake and look too heavy. Any reccomendations??

Re: I need a liquid foundation reccomendation
Have you tried any BB creams? I need a lot of coverage too- I have horrible skin- and yet I find that the BB cream gives me enough coverage without looking cakey and heavy and accentuating my flaws like some foundations can. I also find I can build the coverage- add a little more in problem spots- without it looking caked on.

This! I can't remember the name either but you can select from warm and neutral tones. ITS SO LIGHT you dont even feel it on your face and proves long lasting coverage.

How are you applying it? I use the MUFE HD & don't find it heavy or cakey at all.
I think it's considered a medium coverage foundation. If you want lighter, look for something that says "sheer coverage"

Re: I need a liquid foundation reccomendation
Definitely try a BB Cream. They have a variety of coverage. I have really oily skin and I love both the Dr. Jart Water Fuse BB Cream (has ZERO shimmer in it. Goes on a little wet but looks amazing with a little powder over it). And I just tried the Diorskin BB cream and it too goes on smooth and dries matte. You can build coverage with both.
If you're set on foundation, Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua is an incredible one. It's totally build-able but looks so natural. Never cakey.

I LOVE Makeup Forever Matte Velvet. It's not cakey at all. I apply moisturizer first, then the foundation, then top off with a mineral powder from Mac.

Love, LOVE, LOVE L'Oreal True Match Foundation. This is my "go to" product for even coverage and the different skin tones match me perfectly - I use one for winter and another one for the summer when my skin gets darker. The concealer is also amazing (comes with a little brush-applicator).

You could be using too much of it. Try putting less on your hand to start and see if it helps.

I agree, you should get a beauty blender. Make sure you wet the sponge and add a little foundation and pat on your face. You can get it from Sephora.

Have to agree. I spread it on the top of my left hand, thin it out, and then with a soft brush just dab a little and put it on my face with a circular motion. Although I'm not completely happy with my foundation's pore coverage (Rimmel), I did find changing the way I put it on made a difference.

I tried Stila pefect correct and I'm not a fan, I went back to Clinique Even Better. It goes on smoother and its lightweight.

Liquid foundations never work for me, and I don't want to aggravate my skin for no reason. My skin is too oily.

I use Makeup Forever HD as well but I always mix it with face cream right on my face. It still gives great coverage but is much lighter and not at all cakey. I also alway apply it with a brush, never by hand or sponge.

Me too, everything makes me break out, and the ones that don't last an hour once my skin gets oily.

Re: I need a liquid foundation reccomendation
I've tried tinted moisturizer, moisturizer with concealer mixed in, and foundation. For my largish pores and oily T, so far Rimmel's foundation is the best one I've found. I blot around my forehead, nose and chin mid-day and that's all I really need.
I tried BB cream (Tarte) today and it made my pores and a dry patch look worse.
