Bc is up.
OK so my birth control is almost over for the month and i need to call in a new script for the next 3 months however DH and I were talking about ttc this summer. Part of me wants to not get the script filled and just see what happens but the other part of me keeps saying just wait... Thing is. I have made a commitment that dosnt end till June of next year so if i stop the pill now and lets see get prego in june/july i would have the baby in march/april leaving the person im helping stranded with child care for 2-3 months,. Although they would have enough time to figure it out i guess..
what to do what to do....

Here's a good thing to keep in mind with the pill, you need to give your body a few months to get back to regular before you should even try - most doc's recommend 3 months of using alternate forms of bc before trying. I can say for myself, I just had a mc, and it was the first month off the pill and I'm 100% convinced that that had something to do with why I had a mc. Don't know if that helps, but you could go off the BC with the idea of trying in the back of your mind, and use alternate BC for the time being until you are ready, then when you are your body will be back to regular (hopefully).

crashing. I think you have to do what you feel is right, however do NOT count on your body needing time to adjust coming off BC. I know several people, including myself, who were on BC for 10+ years and got pregnant with viable pregnancies within the first 3 months. It might take longer, it might not, you never know.

That's why it's important to use other protection - obviously my body needed no time to get pregnant... Will be using extra protection for a little bit longer.

The only thing that I want to say is don't go by "well I have this commitment" because if that's the case you will never TTC then. There will always be something coming up or something your promised someone or anything that can stop you. If that is the only thing that is stopping you from TTC then I would really put that out of your head. Don't stop your life for others, because most of the time others won't stop theirs for you - sad but true. And there is plenty of time for them to find other helps. PLUS, that's a big IF depending on IF you got pregnant at a certain time.

I completely understand how you feel. I felt so overwhelmed when trying to decide when it was right to go off BC and start TTC. I'm definitely a planner, so I had this ideal scenario in my head of stopping BC in May, and my best friend was doing the same, and hopefully starting to try in August. My best friend got pregnant the first month off, sooner than expected. And it's almost a year later and we're still trying. Everyone is different, so just do what YOU feel is right.

Re: Bc is up.
Personally for me, I went of BCP 2 years ago because I had been on it for so long. I wasn't worried about getting PG but at the same time I used other methods just in case (trying to time around when I thought was fertile). I was not getting AF when on BCP and my cycle came back immediately after going off BCP and I was regular starting from the first month. But everyone is different. I agree with the PP that maybe you should go off the pill and just use other forms of protection so that your body has a chance to regulate.

Its hard to decide. You never know how your body will react. I stopped BC over a year and a half ago. I regulated right away but have yet to get a BFP. I would say don't wait, go for it.
