Re: Spanish Restaurants
Maria's in I think Lake Grove or Nesconset on Smithtown BLVD -- it's awesome.
For Nassau County South of the Border in Levittown is very good.

Casa Luis is on Jericho Turnpike not Commack Rd. It is just past Wesleyan rd before Old Willets

I know you asked for Nassau or Suffolk, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE Tequila Sunrise in Bayside...OMG...the BEST Frozen Margaritas! Not to mention an AMAZING selection of Tequila!
Umm..can we have a GTG there?...
ETA: the food is amazing too!
I love the Mariachi Band that strolls through the place!

Another vote for Casa Luis in Commack...it is excellent!
I saw someone posted Maria's in Nesconset...it is really good also, but it has more Mexican and Cuban food with a little bit of Spanish mixed inl.

Re: Spanish Restaurants
As a Cubana.... :) ... I can highly recommend Maria's in Nesconset right on Lake Ave. It's really quite good and reasonably priced.
Casa Luis is okay, IMO. I like Maria's better! Maria's is a mix of Cuban and Columbian food.
If you want Mexican food, I really like La Panchita in Smithtown.

Casa Vieja in Brentwood
Also there is a new place on Suffolk Ave in Brentwood called Embassy Restaurant & Lounge. It used to be a Chinese restaurant and now it is Spanish and Latin American Cuisine.

Re: Spanish Restaurants
I teach ESL in Brentwood and many of my students work at Mi Tierrita. Good food! I love it when they get food for parties from there.
