I usually wash every other day so that it doesn't get too dry unless I have been active and my head got sweaty.
When I don't wash it, I use a shower cap to keep it from getting wet and frizzy
I do the same thing

My hair is dry so I wash it every other day. When I don't wash my hair, I put it up in a bun and it stays dry.

I have VERY thick, frizzy, slightly wavy hair...and A LOT of it. I usually blow dry it straight and then flat iron it to make it shiny and sleek (which takes a total of about 1.5 to 2 hrs. As you might imagine, if I go through all that I usually dont wash it for a few more days (about every 3rd day).
During the summer I dont blow out or flat iron it because of the humidity...it will never stay and I don thave the patience in this heat. I just wear it curly with A LOT of product in it and wash it every other day. My hair looks better the second day on account of it being a lot less frizzy and unruly.
WOW: After reading what I just wrote...I think it's time for me to get JS...and be done with all of this mess!

i wash it everyday.... but i try to skip a day on the wknds sometimes , like on a day i'm not going anywhere... i'll let it be...but i'll toss it up in a hairclip and shower

and on the days that you dont- do you just take a shower and then put your hair up so it doesnt get wet?
just asking. i just got my hair colored and im trying not to wash it every day but i feel like a dirt bag...even when i take a shower with my hair up i feel gross the whole day b/c my hair is flat and graeasy- but i dont want to ruin the color but washing it too often
I hear you. My hairdresser always tells me to wash every other day but I just can't do it!

It is SO great that you are a guy and own a Singer sewing machine and do the sewing for your family.

My hair is dry. I'd have to not wash it for a week or go to the gym a few times for it to get "greasy" so I wash it every other or every 3rd day. Beyond that it looks frizzy and gross from being exposed to the shower. I find that every time I take a shower w/o washing my hair it gets uglier...

For those that don't wash daily - do you use a lot of styling products? What do you do day 2?
Because of my 5-6 step routine (I have thick curly frizzy hair that requires a lot of mouse and gel), I am afraid not to wash every day.
