N Bellmore vs N Merrick SD
Anyone have any input? I know one isn't "better" than the other but does anyone know the rankings of these schools? Where can I go to check out school rankings?

Newsday.com always lists the schools.
If you google something like Long Island School Report Cards or School Ratings it will come up too with a few sites but I have always went through Newsday's link.

I live North Bellmore and while I love my son's little school, I do think Merrick is better.

Greatschools.net has ratings as well as facts such as spending per pupil and also demographical information.

I don't know much about North Bellmore but Merrick is a very good district!

Merrick and North Merrick are separate schools. I'm sorry I don't know anything about the schools in North Merrick or North Bellmore but I'd definitely check on Newsday.

I have a few friends in N.Bellmore and they rant and rave about the school and the district. My daughter will be starting in September. So I can't say yet what I think. I have also heard that Park Ave elem. is ranked in the top 10 elem. schools in the U.S.. I grew up in bellmore/merrick, honestly you can't go wrong with either. Both great!

I grew up in the N Merrick SD and have nothing bad to say about it. If we could have afforded the taxes, we would be living there right now.

We just moved to North Bellmore 3 yrs ago because we heard of both great school districts. My son goes to Park Ave Elemntary & we couldn't be happier. My friend lives in North Merrick & their SD is great too
