How much notice do I need to give my dog walker about us moving?
Our dog walker has been with us for 3 years, she walked our previous dog for the last year of his life and our current dog since the day after we got him. She is awesome. Unfortunately we will be moving out of the area some time this summer (probably mid-July but we don't know for sure yet). I don't want to end it abruptly for her but I also don't know all the details yet and don't want to keep changing things with her as our plans change. When do you think I need to let her know that we will unfortunately  not be using her anymore?

How much notice do I need to give my dog walker about us moving?
I would let her know now that there is the possibility you may be moving out of the area but don't know exact date yet, but that you'd be more than happy to provide her with references etc.

No big deal, just explain that you guys are looking to move over the summer, and that as soon as you have a date you will let her know.

As a former dog walker, I would tell her as soon as possible so she doesn't turn down potential work and has time to plan.

Im a dog walker & my clients told me they are moving & it could take up to a year...i would tell her ASAP & offer to be a good reference for her.
