Long island school for the Gifted
I have heard many wonderful things about this school..
I am so sorry that I can't be more helpful than that, but I remember when applying to various public and private schools on Long Island that school was spoken of very hightly by everybody.

Re: Long island school for the Gifted
My friend's daughter is finishing 6th grade there and has been very happy. I know it is an accelerated prgoram...the school goes up to 9th grade, and if you stay you have basically finished high school. Studentws are bussed from all over LI and classes are small. My friend is happy with the education but I know getting together with other kids can be tough because of the diverse areas they come from. HTH

Re: Long island school for the Gifted
Dear all,
Thanks for all the positive and negative information!! I just hope it's not too late to get the transportation planned by SD. Anyone here know the transitioning from LISG to SD high school? Does LISG prefer email or phone for communications? What's the biggest benefit for applying college for the future if you graduate from LISG? I know it's still long way to go but I just can't help thinking about it...Anybody from North shore area?
Best, ^_^

My son was just accepted there too... We are trying to decide on whether to send him or not and also how to fund the cost... Any info on tuition assistance?
