My FAST birth story and crazy coming home

I haven't posted much lately bc life has been crazy.
My birth story is not though!
I went to the dr on Tuesday March 5th, for my weekly check up and was 1 cm dilated. He wanted me to come back on on Friday. I had a slightly elevated bp and some protein in my urine.
I was supposed to go to work and asked him what I should do about it, he told me "it's ok to take a few days off before you give birth".
So I called my office and told them I wouldn't be back. Well, 9pm rolls around and I notice a pattern in the cramping I was feeling. I started keeping track of it, and went to bed. Woke up around 1am and noticed my "bloody show". Tried to go back to sleep but was really uncomfortable.
So I labored a little on the couch and tried to sleep here and there where I could, walked a bit to ease the pressure.
Woke my dh up at around 2 or 3 and he called the emergency line to find out what we should do. They had us come to the hospital where I met the on call dr, she checked me (and as we know those internals are PAINFUL) so I squirmed and she goes "get used to it bc I'm not going to stop" I seriously wanted to kick her in the face.
Anyway, I was about 2cm then and they sent me home.
By 12pm I was at my drs office getting checked out again and they sent me back to the hospital and I was admitted.
All I have to say is THANK GOD for epidural! I felt nothing until about 7:30pm when they had me start pushing.
7:56pm Nathan was here!
6lbs 9oz and 20.5 inches long.
South Nassau was amazing, loved the L&D room and the fact that everything was private and new and clean!

I wish I could have stayed there! Because we closed on our (short sale) house on Monday, and had to vacate our apartment on Thursday so I literally came home to a new house with boxes EVERYWHERE that needed work bc it was a fixer upper. Not what we had planned at all and the first few nights were rough, I would wake up heaving ready to vomit from the stress but I just focused on my little boy and we got through with SO MUCH help from our families. I could not ask for a better more supportive family.

Our little man is amazing and sweet and a snuggle bunny. We love him to pieces.

It's been a pleasure reading all your posts and commiserating with you!

Congrats! Was the on call doctor a Resident? I had this lady at 32 weeks who was tall and thin, blond hair. Her internal was the only one this entire pregnancy that hurt!!! I also wanted to kick her! I hope I don't have to deal with her when I deliver in a week! Glad everything went so fast for you!
