Nursery furniture
Hello girls ! Ill be starting the hunt for nursery furniture soon. Any recommendations for reasonably priced pieces or anyone selling pieces? I'm looking for a crib (that will convert into bed) dresser or armoire, glider, and changing table in white or off white .

Re: Nursery furniture
Out of everything you list, obv. depending on the maker, the glider might be your most expensive purchase. I've seen nice cribs and dressers for about $600 each and then the glider is like $1200!

Re: Nursery furniture
We got ours from BRU. But we got it in the Espreso finish. The quality is very good - DH went through all of the other dressers in the store and commented on how flimsy they were. I am very happy with the furniture.
Nursery Furniture
ETA: it turns into a toddler bed and a full size bed as well.

Re: Nursery furniture
Congratulations on your pregnancy! I am actually selling my brand new with tags, glider and ottoman. The wood is cherry but the cushions are white or off white. We are moving and need it to go. I am selling it for a reduced price of $300 total, which is a steal since the two pieces sell for $489. Below is the CL posting with more pictures and info. Please feel free to FM me with any questions. https://post.craigslist.org/manage/3811244688/p3mms

Re: Nursery furniture
Friends and family members who have had babies have all went to some very common places that you may want to check out: BRU, BBB, Bellini, and Behr's. Those are places known for baby furniture.
For us, those prices are more than we want to spend. So, we went searching for some quality sets at bargain prices I love a deal lol! We found two places that we like and I think we are leaning more towards one than the other b/c of the quality but either way, both are good...
JC Penney Home Store and Costco
I know, not what you'd expect but Costco has beautiful sets, they are full sets and they sell in a package deal so you can spend say $800-$1300 depending on which set you choose vs. some friends of mine ended up spending that kind of money per piece, or 2200-3000+ total.
We researched the quality at Costco and the furn they sell rates very well and is supposed to last. My nephew has a set, for a kid - not baby, but he has had it for years now and it is solid, wood, and really nice. It looks brand new.
We ended up buying our bedroom set at JC Penney Home Store (it was Chris Madden) and I was shocked because almost 8 years later and it is in perfect condition, made and built solid and I couldn't be happier with it -- and the price was outrageously cheap. I like Chris Madden, JC Penney Home Store, and Costco because some of their sets remind me, style-wise, of Pottery Barn.
Hope that helps - check out their websites and search baby :)
You'd be surprised lol but I think we are going to go with Costco because I just want to make sure that it will hold up for a really long time and I like their return policy, they stand by their products, and I really like the style of the particular set I'm looking at best.
I believe it is the crib, the dresser, the changing table? I think it's that - and then we are going to look into a glider separately, you can get those anywhere. Believe it or not, I saw really cheap and nice ones at Home Goods! HTH!

Re: Nursery furniture
I totally agree with you on Costco. Bought my DD's crib and dressing table/drawer set there(model=Alex). I think it was about $1000.00 for both, but they are very well made and the crib is a convertible crib that converts into a toddler bed and head and foot board later. So far so good and she has been using it now for almost a year on the dresser and maybe 8 months on the crib. We researched it as well and also found very positive feedback. The quality of the crib surprisingly is even better than the brand new Graco that my mom bought to keep at her house. The company Cafe Kid was very easy and accommodating with the one small issue we had. Hope this helps.
