Weight gain?

This pregnancy I am up 25 lbs at 36 weeks. With my DS (singleton) I gained 27lbs by the time I delivered at 39 weeks.

Just curious what all the multiple mommy weight gains were and did you lose quickly after delivery?

Re: Weight gain?

Gained 30-35 lbs (hard to say because I was in preterm labor and my weight fluctuated a lot when I was in and out of the hospital). I lost 20 lbs within the first week and the rest of weight within 6 weeks.
By 6 mos pp, I was 5 lbs under my starting weight.
I don't work out nearly as much as I used to pp, so most of the weight loss unfortunately was muscle.

I hope the weight gain slows down but I doubt it will!

When I was pregnant with my DS, I gained 40lbs and delivered at 41w.

I ended up gaining 50lbs with my girls and I had them at 38w2d. Baby A was 5lbs12oz and Baby B was 6lbs8oz.

I gained 20 of that in the last month!

Re: Weight gain?

I think I lost 14 lbs or so. Don't ask me how lol. I did love water and fruit more than life itself so I'm sure that helped. I was very picky with food and had to have what I wanted or I didnt want to eat at all. And I was never hungry. Towards the end I discovered the heavenlyness of yodels and devil dogs so I'm sure it could have packed on quickly if I had gone full term.

Re: Weight gain?

You've gained only 25 lbs and your almost done? You are def on the lower side for twins. I gained 50 with my twins and did lose all but 10 lbs. within the first month. The last 10 and then some came off by 7 months.

I gave birth at 37 weeks and the boys were 7lbs and 6lbs.
