Please help us get the word out :-) WE Now have a static banner!!
We have been accepted to receive an autism assistance service dog for our son, Zachary from 4 Paws For Ability. This dog is going to change our lives and give our son the independence he craves and the safety we need. We've set up a facebook page to keep people up to date on events we're going to be having - It's going to cost 4 Paws $22,000 to train Zach's dog specifically to his needs. We're responsible for raising $13,000 of that. If you could, please help us by sharing the facebook page to get the word out. And visit our fundraising page to see our story  Thanks so much.

I failed to mention - we live in Cape Cod now. But my in - laws are in LI and we'll be having some events down there over the summer. So keep an eye on the facebook page and we'll keep everyone updated! Thanks so much for following.

My sister has one for her daughter. It's a golden-doodle but looks like a blonde version of the Obama's dog.

They make awesome service dogs. 4 Paws works mainly with labs, goldens, and lab/golden/poodle mixes for those with allergies.

This is amazing - it's really awesome to hear about the various ways special needs kids are getting help!
Now the problem - I'm an idiot and didn't fully read the instructions on the site before I donated. I put my 'dedication' to my daughter (also a special needs child; one way we try to make her mark on the world is via donations in her name). Is there any way I can contact someone and explain that I'm a dolt, this was to go to Zachary's fund? So sorry!!

Thank you so, so much for your donation! I just got the little notification e-mail. Since it was done on our page it should be fine. But I'll check with Karen over at 4 paws tomorrow to make sure it's credited to Zach's fund. And if there's any issue I'll let you know. Thank you again

My e-mail has been lighting up all day. Thank you for all your generous donations! I'm blown away. And thank you for sharing our page with your friends. I know we all use Facebook for various reasons but to be able to have such a platform to get our word out there about what we are trying to do for our son is incredible. Thank you! Just bumping this - We now have a static banner!!! If you haven't already checked out our story, or liked us over on FB please do! And please share our little story with any of your friends. In the wake of 3 deaths this week of children with autism wandering away from their homes, we are taking a step to prevent a tragedy like that for our family. this dog could literally save my son's life one day.
