Bahamas -- all inclusive vs not
We are thinking of going to the Bahamas in the fall, just DH and I. But I've heard it's an expensive island. Right now Expedia has Atlantis towers for $675 for 4 days, 3 nights not all inclusive. The Riu is all inclusive and is $975 for the same # of days. Is it feasible to say we will eat/drink $300 worth each in this time frame if we went the non all inclusive route?

Re: Bahamas -- all inclusive vs not
In 4 days at Atlantis you will spend over the $600 difference. We had a simple fast food lunch by the pool one day and it was $60. That was for 2 burgers, French fries, 1 beer and 1 Gatorade- counter service. Dinners will probably run you between $150-200 a night. But Atlantis does offer a food plan, which might keep costs down. It's worth looking into.
