Pregnancy after MC

Hi Ladies Chat Icon

I had a mc last summer. The storm came and we stopped trying again until the last few months. I took a hpt and it came out positive. I'm excited in a scared kind of way. Like, worried the same thing will happen again.

Last pregnancy, I got bad news since my first visit to every week there after from the OB. Measured too small, extremely low progesterone, then the heart rate was way too low. It was a crazy ride.

I have always wanted more children (we already have one). And I'm nearing 40, so it's beautiful that I'm here to say this, but at the same time, I don't want to get too excited in case something happens.

Just happy I got to see that 2nd little line on the hpt after getting just one in the recent past.

My dh hasn't even been home from work yet to share the news. I fear his reaction will be reserved as well.

How do you keep grounded?

Pregnancy after MC

Congrats!!!

I know it's so tough to get excited after a loss. It takes a lot of patience and happy thoughts.

Lots of luck!!

Re: Pregnancy after MC

I've had many losses .. after my first loss, I tried to remain positive for the next pregnancy but unfortunately it didn't work out. The truth is, you know all too well now how these things could pan out. The best you could do is hope this time will be different and take it day by day .. until the point you are able to take it week by week, and so on. Best of luck Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
