Pre-natal vitamins
I just got BFP this morning and I just read an article on LIF that if you start taking folic acid after you conceive it's too late. We weren't trying, so I wasn't taking them
Is there a specific kind, or are they all basically the same?

Re: Pre-natal vitamins

Re: Pre-natal vitamins
make sure you take one with DHA, or take a separate DHA supplement!

Re: Pre-natal vitamins
I didn't take prenatals before getting pregnant either, don't worry.
I've been taking different brands throughout my pregnancy. Right now I'm taking Nature's Bounty Your Life Multi Prenatal. I like it because it's a softgel and easier to swallow.

Re: Pre-natal vitamins
I wasn't taking vitamins before I got pregnant, but I started as soon as I found out. Never too late! Don't worry about it, chances are everything will be fine.

Pre-natal vitamins
Many women dont take any vitamins before conceiving so no it is def not to late. As soon as I got pregnant and before my first appt I took 600mg of folic acid once I received the prescribed ones those had 1.1mg of folic acid. I take Prenate Elite.

Re: Pre-natal vitamins
I never took Folic Acid or anything before getting pregnant and DD was fine. After I got a BFP I took a multi every day and that was it. The Dr prescirbed me prescription prenatals at my first visit- 8 weeks. Think of all the women who get pregnant without trying, unplanned, etc. I doubt they were all taking Folic acid beforehand.
