Low PAPP A??
I'm due with my 2nd child and I got my results from my NT scan. Everything was basically fine except I was in the 5th percentile for PAPP A. I didn't have this with number 1 and I'm a bit concerned after googling things. My doctor didn't seem all too concerned when explaining it had to do with protein and blood supply, but I am of course freaked out. Anyone experience this?? What should I expect?

Re: Low PAPP A??
I was diagnosed with low Papp A level with my son. My doctor wasnt nervous about it but kept me informed of the possibilities which did freak me out after I googled it. The only thing my doctor did differently was that I received sonos every 4 weeks to check on the fetal development. Just because you have this low level, does not mean there will be a problem. In fact the majority of pregnancies go to full term with healthy little ones!!! My son is 11 weeks old and perfect and my level was much lower than yours.
Hope that helps!

Low PAPP A??
Don't google it! I didn't write that previous post but I could have. My DD is also 11 weeks old and she is perfect. I was diagnosed with low papp A and got a few more growth sonos at the end. They were all perfect and she is totally fine.

Re: Low PAPP A??
My ratio for the test was high risk 1/166 because of a low PAPP-A. My daughter is now 5 1/2 years old and just fine:) FYI- I was not high risk for my son who is 3, and was high risk again for my daughter who is 1(although I'm not sure if the PAPP-A was low). My one year old is also perfectly healthy and my numbers were 1/40. Good Luck to you!!

Re: Low PAPP A??
Both the PAPP-A and the other hormone tested were low with DS2. My PAPP-A was 5% too. Then with the quad screen, the spina bifida results came back slightly above normal. All of those were indications of possible growth issues. I was monitored by MFM and got growth sonos every 4 weeks. Starting at 32 weeks, I had NSTs and sonos every week. DS was born perfectly healthy at 7 lbs 11 oz. Try not to worry too much.
