I'm training for a 1/2 in September and I was doing well, up to 5 miles. Then I started having a pain in my right hip muscle and then pain in my knee. I thought it was ITB so I started stretching. My hip muscle still feels sore. I went to a chiro and he said my hips are way out of aligment and that's whats causing the knee problems. I haven't run in 2 weeks and the pain is better, but my knee feels kinda unstable and my hip muscle is still sore. Does it sound like ITB? The knee pain isn't on the outside of the knee though, its like the whole knee cap. It was never horrible pain, more of just something I was aware of during runs. Any insight?
