Summer book suggestions
Hello all!
Just got a new credit on my audible account (love audio books since having the baby, not much time to sit and read an actual book lately).
Any book suggestions? I generally like what the masses like. Don't do well if it's tough to get into or slow moving. Also, I like when things are a little twisted. Not huge on romance unless there's some other good stuff mixed in.
Stuff I like:
The Thirteenth Tale
Eat, Pray, Love
The Happiness Project
Bringing Up Bebe
Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother
Harry Potter series
Hunger Games series
Water For Elephants
most stuff by Jodi Picoult

Yes, if you like a things a little twisted you might like Gone Girl.
Other suggestions:
Humanity Project (fiction--nothing to do with the Happiness project)
This is Where I leave you (or anything by Jonathan Tropper)
The Divergent series (it's YA, but you might like it if you liked the Hunger Games.)

Summer book suggestions
Have you read Wild by Cheryl Strayed? You would probably like that. Also, anything by Gillian Flynn, although I liked her other two books better than Gone Girl.

Any of the Walsh Series books by Marian Keyes

"And the Mountains Echoed" -- by the same author that wrote Kite Runner. I just finished it, and it is by far one of my favorite books ever. SOOO GOOD!

I second Gone Girl (or anything by Gillian Flynn) and This is Where I Leave You (or anything by Jonathan Tropper).
Also: Where'd You Go Bernadette by Maria Semple; Sushi for Beginners by Marian Keyes; Silver Linings Playbook by Matthew Quick; or Defending Jacob by William Landay.
