Help with certification
I received my initial certification in elementary Ed in 2009 & in literacy in 2011.
I worked as a building substitute in the same district for 2.5 years, which I just got a letter from the admin that it equalled to 371 days. I am now working full-time as a reading teacher.
I know I need three years of teaching to apply for my certification and that substituting counts. I have a full year under my belt for this year. I'm assuming since subbing counts it would have to add up to a year, so with 371 days I would have 2 years there. I work in a charter so I'm not required to have a mentor and wasn't eligible for one as a sub, but my current school will sign off that I was mentored since I stills was anyway.
Does anyone know what I do next? Do those 371 days of subbing count? Can I apply for my next certification?
Tia.

Re: Help with certification
First you need to get the letter signing off on the mentoring and get that into the state. Then you need to enter all of your time into the teach system and submit the letters stating how much time you have in---- the subbing counts! Then you can apply
