I cannot WAIT for Chik Fil A to open out here! This is such great news. Restaurants aren't political Chat Icon
I eat there because I like the food, not because of the ceo's views on marriage.
Just like I eat at Starbucks because I like the food, not because of the ceo's views on marriage.

Exactly!
Last I checked this was a free country and people are entitled to their own opinions and views- even if those views doen't fit with my own.
And in terms of fast food- YES PLEASE!
I can't live without fast food- and wouldn't want to!
I feel like some people are fast food snobs.
Guess what? I am healthy, I am thin- and if I want to eat fast food once in a while- I am going to!!! It hasn't kille me or affected my health yet- and it brings me 100 times more pleasure then an organic salad!

and That's the company with the idiot CEO who is so against gay marriage isn't it?

Exactly. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Civil rights does not stand a chance against waffle fries.
Imagine Americns now? Walking to work to boycott busses? Or taking time out to rally for women's rights?
People cannot avoid a drive thru.
The ones for "traditional" marriage do not even bother me anymore. Fine, eat there.
The people for gay marriage who continue to eat there irk me.

I am for gay marriage and I eat Chick-fil-A in fact DH and I drove to Paramus once just to get it.

This is America. People can believe what they want. The CEO insists that all stores are closed on Sundays for religious reasons. Think of the profit he is losing for his beliefs.

You don't know the beliefs of every single CEO of every single company you use. Someone getting chick-fil-a shouldn't "irk" you.

I will never support a company that puts this type of stuff in its food. Neverhttp://foodbabe.com/2011/07/09/chick-fil-a-or-chemical-fil-a/
People can do whatever they like, but putting that type of crap out to the public makes me sick. Their beliefs on gays make me sick too. I do think that where we spend our money matters ,and I'd rather give to a company whose values are the same as mine.

You have a right to your opinion and you need to do what makes you comfortable. However, I don't think it is fair to call people who avoid fast food , "fast food snobs". I'm not a snob, but I do consider my body a temple and I am very careful about what I put in it. It is the only place I have to live and I want to protect it. I also find it disgusting that almost every fast food restaurant serves incredibly processed, GMO laden foods with an ingredient list a mile long, made from animals that lived in disgusting conditions on factory farms. I don't think these values or beliefs make me a snob. It just a different way of viewing things.

Exactly. They can believe what they want and that's their right. I believe what they believe is horrible and wrong and that is my right and it is my right to not give them one cent of mine. They claim that they no longer give their profits to anti-gay organizations. The fact that they ever did is something I can't look past.

Totaly wasn't directed at you- or even anyone on this board- but just in general.
I am all for doing what you feel comfortable with.
If you want to eat a certain way, that's fine- doesn't bother me at all.
I just meant the people who are like OH MY GOD I would NEVER eat that cr@p... and make it as if I am eating rat poison and killing myself or harming my child if we have the OCCASSIONAL meal from a fast food place.
Listen we all know that fast food isn't healthy. And I know that I wouldn't eat it every single day- or even every week. But an occasional treat- of any kind- well I can't see that doing any harm.
And again- if others don't agree, that's fine too!
It's the people who try to push their beliefs on others, or make you feel like you are stupid or crazy or reckless if you don't see things their way- that is what bothers me.

Chik Fil A is absolutely political. It's not just CEO saying he's against gay marriage.
This company spends some of its profits to support groups that oppose gay marriage. And it's not like is just a few grand - its millions of dollars.

Anyone that wants to eat here is certainly free to. I'd rather not have one on LI but nothing I can do about it.

Woohoo Chic Fil A! And as far as their
C-E-O's opinions, I could care less so long as they make they provide a service. We can all call political OUTRAGE at every stop. We all ***** about people living off the government yet we still continue to make Wal Mart a big business, most of us have animals rights tattoo'd on our forehead yet we continue to go to circus' and places that support animal abuse. You can find issue with anything if you look at it from the right angle. Yes I am for Gay marriage, do I think this man's opinion is the main road block for it, NO.

While it may be true to some people, I pride myself in sticking with my boycotts of various business such as Papa Johns, Walmart, Smith Haven Mall, Hurricane Wings, and I guess soon, Chick Fil A, among others. I can sleep better at night knowing that these companies do not see a dime of my hard earned money.

So, who's ready to boycott BabiesRUs, ToysRUs, Cablevision, Kellogs, Sam's Club, Salvation Army, Bed Bath and Beyond, and Sherwin-Williams?

Yet people continue to boycott this company and buy gas from a middle eastern company that hangs gays.

Being American allows you to have opinions and choose to eat where you want, donate money to certain causes as you see fit.

If we all knew what political views every company holds, no one would buy anything.

That being said, Chick Fil A is awesome. I am not a fast food junkie but their sandwiches are the bomb.

My good friend Chris who is gay was one of the ones who camped out. lol. Many saw it ironic but he doesn't care and likes the food. People are easily offended and make a stink about everything. Who cares. Just eat the damn chicken.

Hurricane Wings - ACA

Smithhaven Mall has a pet store that sells sick puppies that were mass bred in puppy mills.
