Arm warmers/Calf sleeves?
Are they comfortable?
Do you use them?

Re: Arm warmers/Calf sleeves?
I tried once and didn't like them. But I get warm easily. I did wear DH's socks on my arms for a marathon that started at 31 degrees.
I saw someone have them on t the Bellmore Independence day Run on Thursday! I couldn't fathom...but many people wear compression socks even in summer, so I guess it's not a big difference and a preference.

I'm think ahead for when the weather gets cooler.
They offer SPF protection, is that why come people where them now?
About the calf sleeves, do they help?

My DH wear compression socks and sleeves like these:
My DH started wearing them because he had an achilles issue and wanted them for additional support.
Compression socks and sleeves have been shown in studies to stimulate blood flow, helping legs recover faster from a hard run.

That's why they caught my eye. Plus I thought I might prefer them in cooler months.

I think arm sleeves can be beneficial to keep you warm during races so you can easily take them off if you get hot. Other than that, I really do not think either has a huge benefit in terms of keeping you warm.
I would get the socks for the recovery and support.

They definitely provide adequate support for your hamstrings and achilles if those are issue for you. I will ask my DH about recovery. He wears them very frequently - even during the summer in this ridiculous heat!

Knock on wood, no issues...but I'm only at 8miles. I don't up my mileage until August. Every so often I'll get a little soreness, but nothing stretching & my foam roller hasn't cured.

Re: Arm warmers/Calf sleeves?
Compression socks are a must for me when I run - regardless of the temps.
The arm warmers I love when it's cooler weather. I get hot easily so soon as I'm into my run the sleeves are rolled down. I find them to be great for races because before the race I'm usually chilly.
