Inexpensive Professional Clothing??
I received a promotion and will be starting in a position where I need to wear more professional clothing - ie. suits and the like. I'm also in the process of losing weight so I don't want to buy anything too expensive. Any ideas on where I can purchase some cheaper suit-like clothes? Thanks!

Marshalls and TJ Maxx. You may have to dig through the racks a bit, but it will be worth it.
Also, since you said you are in the process of losing weight, try to get some dresses and skirts. I found I always got more use out of them while I was losing weight, to the point that I could still wear most of them even after dropping a size or two, but I couldn't do that with pants.
Congrats on your promo and weight loss

Kohl's.
Also sign up for a credit card. With coupons they often have some ridiculous deals.
Macy's too but I feel like they scam you with their credit card, but that's another thread!

Skirts are easier to get taken in too. If you don't find anything at Marshall's, TJ Max, etc, Macy usually has decent sales.

Re: Inexpensive Professional Clothing??
especially if you're losing weight, I agree with getting yourself some nice dresses, and a few good jackets/blazers
I have dresses from DVF and ones from Target - both look equally fabulous with a well fitted blazer and good shoes. And the inexpensive stuff can get you through that weight loss -
Try Marshalls, TJMaxx, Ann Taylor (on sale) -
Also try Lands End - their dresses are excellent quality and most wash/dry nicely which is convenient - (skip the dry cleaning)
I perfer a dress to a skit - b/c you don't need the blouse .......and I'd stay away from pants b/c they're a pain to have fitted properly until you lose the weigh youi want .....
Congratulation on your promotion !!
