i need to brag a bit
a few weeks ago, i out-ran the dog (she wanted to stop after about 6 miles)
then
i out-ran my iphone (it died at 12 miles)
yesterday
i out-ran the teenager!!!
poor kid. the heat and humidity kicked his ass. he stopped after about 12 miles and headed back to the car. when i got back... he looked BAD.
after cool drinks, some food, and a good shower he was set, but there was a moment when i thought i had pushed him too far.
yes, the old lady has outrun them all!!!
about a week ago, i was starting to doubt my ability to continue my training for the marathon in october.
after yesterday's 15 miles
i'm feeling pretty damn awesome!!!
40 is going to be the most amazing year EVER!!!
