What is going on?

Last month I had an early MC at 5 weeks. (I guess it was more of a chemical). I started spotting on June 8th, however a line and digital test still showed BFP. June 10th was a full on flow with a negative pregnancy test. My doctor took my blood that day and my beta came back at 10 confirming the pregnancy and loss. I bled heavy for about 5-6 days. Then everything seemed to go back to normal. I even think I ovulated this month bc I had all my usual O signs. DH and I decided we wanted to keep trying so we did. A lot. (My Dr. said it was fine).

Now I have been cramping like crazy since Tuesday. I took a test on Tuesday and Thursday and both BFN. I'm ok with it but I don't understand where AF is. I know it can take some time after a MC but should I be cramping this much if she isn't coming yet? Last night and this morning were the first time in days that I'm not having AF cramps. I estimate today to be CD 28 based on CD 1 being when the full on flow came last month. My cycles typically are 25-26 days.

I'm not even sure what I'm looking for here. I am such a control freak and I just can't live and let be. I guess I am just wondering if anyone else had random AF cramps while they were waiting for her to show up?

AFter any type of MC it can take anywhere from 4-10 weeks to get AF. Cramps, sometimes, are just random cramps, nothing to do with AF, more along the lines of general muscle cramps.

Thanks. It's just seems so crazy. I feel exactly the way I always do right before AF. Every morning I wake up expecting to see blood when I go to the bathroom. Although today I would swear that I feel the way I did when I got my bfp. Ugh. This is so frustrating.

What is going on?

My first MC was a chemical and my doctor explained to me that my body would still be out of whack and cycles can be off right after.

I tried again right after and got a bfn on the day I was due and felt off and got a bfp two days later.. good luck and be patient!

Re: What is going on?

I am going through almost the same thing so it's nice to hear I'm not alone. I miscarried at 8 weeks. It's been 29 days since it started. My regular cycles usually are 26 days. I haven't been trying since my doctor advised to wait for 2 regular cycles. I've been feeling all the premenstrual symptoms but still waiting for AF.

I've also been feeling slightly more "crazy" than my usual premenstrual symptoms. I guess my hormones are still slightly out of whack. I can't wait to feel normal again and get things back on track so we can start trying.

Just to update - AF did arrive last week. I think in my mind I was just really hoping that I would get pregnant again right away. We are back on track now and have decided to actively try. I am using my CBEFM again and we will give it a few months before we decide to go back to my RE for help.
