The Survival Race in Riverhead
Has anyone done this? Is it hard? Do you really need to run or could you walk/jog?

You can definitely walk or jog. It is not a competitive race at all - really just about having fun. There were actually points where it was impossible to run bc the trail is so narrow and so many people were walking.

The Survival Race in Riverhead
it is a fun one, you can run/walk it..there are little breaks when you are waiting for other people to finish the obstacle..it was fun, my ds's bday is that day or else I would sign up again for it

You will have to walk at certain points. The obstacle areas get very crowded and it is almost impossible to run. There are a few difficult areas, especially one really steep hill, but nothing to intense. It was really a lot of fun.

I did it last year and ran it. Yes, it was hard to run but with walks breaks you should be ok. I know a 7 year old who did it.

Re: The Survival Race in Riverhead
Just wondering. Once you are all done and covered in mud is there a place to clean off? Like how do you drive home lol. Also are there lockers or something to keep your stuff in while you do the race?

You can hose yourself off (with a fire hose that have going) or you can change clothes. They do have an area that you can bring a bag and leave it. I brought a change of clothes and changed. HTH

They have "showers". Like at the beach where you pull a chain and it's freezing cold! There is a women's/men's changing tent, so bring a towel and change of clothes for sure.
There's a bag check for your stuff.
