2 carseat car help: captains chair vs regular 3 person seat??

We are looking at new cars as we have a second on the way. Would you recommend captains seats or a regular row? I liked the captain chair bc of easy access to third row. We wont be able to collapse seat to get back there with carseats installed. My husband thinks we dont need them bc we wont use the third row yet and it will be down most of the time for extra trunk storage. Says the full seat will be better to have when kids are older. Its about a $4000 difference so id like opinions from those who have them vs not. If it makes a difference were looking at the chevy traverse. Thanks!!

Captains chairs!!!!! I loathe the middle bench seat!!! You can't access the back row at all!!! We use the back row of our mini van more then I thought we would.. And we only have one child!!!

If its the one extra add on feature on a minivan captain chairs allllllll the way!!!!!! I bought my caravan when I had a second on the way and I'm sooooo glad w opted for them bc we now have a third child and I don't know what I would do if I had the bench what a pain in the butt that would be bc its sooooo much easier to get to the back w those chairs rather than the bench

Definitely captain chairs!

We have the GMC Acadia with 3 carseats and it's just so much easier to access the third row! My sister has a Honda Pilot with a bench seat and it's such a pain in the ass to get in/out of the 3rd row.

Captain chairs. We had a Toyota highlander and it was very difficult to use the 3rd row. Now we have a Sante Fe with the Captain chairs and it makes it so much easier. My MIL was able to get back there without any issues.

I'd say captain chairs if you are only having 2 kids. We had to trade our chevy that had captain chairs for a bench seat to fit 3 kids across. All 3 kids will be under the age of 3. It was impossible to get in the 3rd row of the chevy with both kids in their car seats.

Captains chairs if you hav eonly 2 kids! We have the Acadia and use our third row pretty often. Love that it is easy to use. I had the reg bench previously and it was impossible to access my third row.

Captains chairs. I have an Enclave and use my 3rd row a ton. Easy access when you have car seats in the car!

Captains chairs. When I was pregnant with #2, I made it a point to get them. Makes access to third row simple plus you can fit between the captain chairs in case one of the kids needs tending. Plus with the carseats we have, if I had a bench seat, the middle seat would be useless bc the seats are large.

I have the Acadia, which is the same body as the Traverse. I lvoe the Captains chairs in the second row. If you ever have someone in the car with you they'll need to sit in the third row, so that access is really awesome. In my truck we can still fit plenty in the trunk with the third row up. I say def go for the captains seating.
