What's a good OTC prenatal vitamin?
With my first DD, I took prescription ones (I think they were called citra natal assure) but they were $50 a month! Is anyone on an a really good OTC one preferably with DHA? Thanks!

I take CVS brand that comes with the DHA supplement. My doc said it's fine and didn't bother with giving me a prescription. I think they're like $15-20 and sometimes are on sale buy one get one free.

I did chewables. They had DHA but I had to take an extra iron pill since they did have it in them

I take NatureMade with DHA - they have them in CVS but I usually order them off of drugstore.com (it's cheaper)!

Re: What's a good OTC prenatal vitamin?
New Chapter Perfect Prenatal. They're organic and my high risk dr recommended them. You take them 3 times a day but they can be taken on an empty stomach. I've had absolutely NO issues taking them and actually found all my constipation issues went away once I switched to them (form citranatal!) and also started a new form of iron that's gentle on the stomach. Its seriously been a life changer.
eta: I order them off amazon. It doesn't come with dha so I take fish oil separately. (eskimo 3 fish oil, they're pure and mercury free)

Your insurance didn't cover the Citranatal Assure?! I didn't realize they are that high if you are paying OOP.

THIS! I love New Chapter. I can take all three pills on an empty stomach, no problem. And the prescription ones made me nauseous. These are the only ones I can keep down.

You need to make sure they have 1000mcg of folic acid. Rainbow light organic is great

I take the target brand, cheap, easy, and has the same things that all the Rx ones have.
