Unfortunately, I haven't been done there since right before the storm, but our favorite sushi place is Himiwari and I heard they are open again.

I don't know if there are any "beach themed" kind of places, but it's fun to make a night out of it.........go for dinner, walk along the beach, walk through town, and then end with coffee or dessert somewhere.

Even sitting outside of Starbucks is nice.

And I'm sure they could really use the support down there now too.

The Beach House, The Inn and The Jetty are all fun bars in the west end. There's also a nice bar at the Allegria Hotel right on the boardwalk. As far as restaurants with good food, my favorite is Sugo.

Pops in Island park is on the beach and has adirondack chairs to sit out on. It's a really fun place.

I always always have to go to swingbellys when i'm there! My mom lives right across the street and it's my fav place. It's casual, but awesome BBQ (pulled pork, fried pickle chips etc, mac n cheese to die for) etc...and really decent beers on tap. It's small but I like the atmosphere there. Beach house is pretty good too, and Don Juans for mexican is really good!!

Peters Clam bar has good seafood.

Long beach doesn't have any waterfront or beachfront places to eat. Except for Allegria but I don't care for their food. Good place to grab a drink though.

Billys Beach cafe is cute
Beach House has good food
Minnesotas is fun to sit outside!
Swingbellys has great bbq
Sorrentos pizza is to die for
cabana has good mexican

Re: long beach restaurants, are there any good ones?

The food is usually on point at Sutton although it's not a beachy atmosphere. I think that Cabana's food has taken a real nosedive in the past two years. Swings is good food but we walked out a few weeks ago after waiting 15 minutes with no acknowledgment from the waitstaff. Good sushi in town, Billy's Beach Cafe is really good wings - rest of food is ok but atmosphere is beachy and cute.

I have to agree on Cabana's food. Used to be so good. Love the Saloon - Great outdoor seating and Whales Tale for some fried calms!
