Yes. You can use 30-40 only depending on if you have a c section or not. Also sick days too.

CAR Days?
So right after the 6 weeks you can use them and still get paid your regular salary? Does 5 car days count as one week?

Nope
Once 6 weeks (vaginal delivery) or 8 weeks (c/s) are over if you choose to take the rest of the 12 week fmla or the year you cannot use your sick days.
Can only use sick days (yiur car) for those 6 or 8 weeks
If you have extra days after that they just stay there for when you return back to work.

Nope

This is right. Just wanted to add that if there àre any vacations during the 6 or 8 weeks you don't lose car days. For example, if feb break falls during your maternity leave you would only use 25 not 30 days. You can also borrow up to twenty if you don't have enough to cover your leave.
