Silent reflux moms
How do you soothe baby? Anything to avoid that causes it to get worse? Anything to prevent it?
ANY help?

Re: Silent reflux moms
With my ds he slept in a swing for three months, then an inclined bassinet. He also takes axid. I also stopped eating dairy. He may also be allergic to cow's milk protein.

Re: Silent reflux moms
dd did best on axid... however, she was diagnosed with a milk allergy months after she was diagnosed with reflux. they can mimic each other. and dd was tested 7x by 3 different dr's before the allergy showed up. so I would suggest getting lo tested for that, if they aren't experiencing relief with reflux meds.

Silent reflux moms
For us, the only thing that seemed to work was the prescription Zantac and Similac for Spit up ( lime green label ).

Re: Silent reflux moms
Incline when feeding, medicine, small amounts of food at a time, thickened formula, special formula.
Both my children had it (one still does @ 9 months). He is on Alimentum formula, is on prevacid and zantac. I too do not give him dairy as he has a milk protein allergy. The GI also recommended we thicken his formula which we have done since my son was about 2 months.
