Meet the teacher day
DS is entering 1st grade. I just sat this morning and re-read the letter that we received from his teacher to see that we bought all of his supplies and what he will need to bring with him for the first day of school. She mentioned checking her page on the school website for updates, so I checked there as well this morning. On the website she says that she is having meet the teacher day on Friday, the 31st. I had no idea the teachers did this and it was not mentioned in the letter we received from her last week, so we missed it. Will the school let me bring my son up one day next week so that I can show him where his classroom will be? He is shy and I know it will help him feel better to see it ahead of time. Why wouldn't she put this info in the letter mailed home?

I don't know why she wouldn't put it in the letter she mailed home. She should have. Maybe she only decided to do it after the first letter already went out? You should be able to get into the school next week. I've always brought my DD up to the school a week or two before school started to show her where to go. Never had a problem getting in.

You should be able to get into the school next week. I've always brought my DD up to the school a week or two before school started to show her where to go. Never had a problem getting in.
Thank you so much for replying. I actually have a question about something else that I do need to stop in the school for, so I will ask while I am there if I could really quickly just show my son where he needs to go when he gets off the bus the first day.
