Best car with third row
Going to start shopping for a new car with a third row. Thinking of the pathfinder, hylander, explorer? What is everyone's favorite?

Biggest regret of mine was not getting a pilot.
And Honda - you can't go wrong. And great resale value.

I just got a Dodge Durango. I did not get the 2nd row captain' chairs for I could have seating for 7. The kids are in boosters and getting in and out of the 3rd row has been very easy. The 2nd row is roomy across and legroom wise. I'm so happy with it.

I have the mdx which is nice, but we recently rented the Buick enclave and I loved it!!

Just got the pathfinder and love it. So roomy and drives amazing! Love the luxurious interior. We got the platinum.

I have a pilot...and an Odyssey.... I really like them both, but for room an storage, the Odyssey wins HANDS DOWN!!

. I have a pilot now and hate the 3rd row when you have carseats in the 2nd row. Someone has to climb through the trunk to use the 3rd seat.

Something to think about is that if you will be using the 3rd row all the time.
Think about accessibility of it too.
If you have 2 kids in carseats, can you still access the 3rd row with them in place early. I know a lot of vehicles have the seats that slide in the middle row, but even so, it is hard to get in and out of the 3rd row.
If you have 3 or 4 children, will be comfortable in the back?
I have 3 kids and the best type of 3rd row vehicle that works for our family is one that has captains chairs in the middle, unless you get a large truck with bench seating in the middle. Now, we were coming out of a Yukon Denali XL, so it was very big.
We looked at:
Infinity JX: hated the way it drove!!
Audi Q7: LOVED, but my son felt closed in
GMC Acadia: was in the running but wasn't sold. Felt a little small
GMC Yukon: No trunk space at all, if you get captains chairs
Cadillac Escalade: no trunk space, if you get captains chairs
Buick Enclave: I really liked it, DH vetoed it, did feel a little small
Mercedez GL350: it was difficult to get in and out of since there were no captains chairs.
Infinity QX56: what we ended up getting and I am in love with it!!
