I just HAVE to share this story...I can't get over what happened just now...
This is a thing that just happened. We are staying with my ILs while we wait to close on our house. I literally had just laid down to take a nap when the pool alarm outside starts going off. It has done this before it's a bit weird. Anyways it's going for about 3 minutes when my door nudges open. Just a bit. I sit up, and there is Ozzie standing in the doorway. The second he saw me he started wagging his tail and panting and came in further to the room. So this is the weird part - he isn't allowed upstairs at my ILs. He has no idea which room is ours or what. There are currently 5 rooms with doors closed up here. Not only did he somehow get past the gate downstairs, he knew Mama would be upstairs and knew where to find me. None of the other doors are nudged open, just mine. I don't know if he got scared and came to find Mama to protect him, or if he knew the alarm meant something could be wrong and came to get Mama to protect ME. Either way. I adore this dog.

Whether it was for you to protect him...or him to protect you... isn't it amazing that Ozzie knew right where to go... Dogs are awesome like that!
