How many babies can a breastpump realistically last through?

When my first DC was born, a friend gave me her Medela PISA that she had used for about 9 or 10 months. I then used it for around a year with my first and my second DC. I've never had any issues with it. Would it make it through a 4th baby?? I don't need to pump multiple times a day regularly. Usually, more like a few times a week. Should I just see how it goes when the time comes or just suck it up now and get a new one?

I'm pretty sure medela will tell you it's only meant for one baby but obviously that pump is in it for the long haul!

My PIS has survived through 2 kids (pumping almost 1 year each multiple times a day) and is still working for my 3rd...I now have 2 pumps so I alternate depending on which room I am in, but it still works great. I think it should be fine, though you may be able to get a new one free through insurance.

I've used my PISA until my 3rd baby, and used it the most with the 3rd baby as well. 'never had issues with it, it's still in good working condition. A close relative just gave birth, and my handy PISA is on its way to be used again. ;)

I used it for 1 year for each of my 3 kids and my SIL used it for a year with her son!
