Re: HALLOWEEN
Sure why not?
We brought DS out when he was a month old - obviously we didn't trick or treat, but we walked around with our friends and their kids who did.
When DS turned 1 we took him. He had fun, even if he was more interested in walking ahead of us than getting the candy (which DH went to town on later on )

Re: HALLOWEEN
We are. Just around our block really. We will probably just go for a walk and bring them to the neighbors to see them.

HALLOWEEN
yes - with family and friends. I probably wouldn't go if it was just us, i think he would have more fun being home and handing out candy!

I didn't- seemed a waste. I had her in her costume and she helped give out candy.
This exactly.
DS went for his first because we were taking DD1 anyway. He didn't go up to doors, just sat in his stroller.
DD2 was 2 weeks old and did not go for he 1st, she did go the next year but again she stayed in her stroller in her costume and was just along for the ride.

Re: HALLOWEEN
My oldest is a September baby. For her 1st Halloween, of course not. For her 2nd, she was 13 mos and she dressed as a pumpkin and we just walked around the neighborhood and looked at all of the Trick or Treaters and then we visited the grandparents.
Obviously, you're getting both sides here, but I'd feel like a real weirdo ringing bells and exclaiming "Trick or Treat!!" and then collecting the candy for myself. Actually, that Halloween, one or two people did stop us and give us candy for DD--which she promptly smooshed up in her chubby fist!

Re: HALLOWEEN
Nope. DD will be 16 months, and we are not going trick-or-treating around the neighborhood. I might take her on a walk in the stroller, but I think it looks silly for a 1-year-old to get candy that she obviously won't be eating. Yes, I can eat it, but I don't need it in my house on on my waistline.
They are having trick-or-treating in my town the Saturday before Halloween, and I might take DD to walk around for that, just for fun. Otherwise, she'll be helping me give out candy in her costume.

Re: HALLOWEEN
We took our DD last year but with my brothers kids and a few friends kids, their was a group of kids that went out. I don't know if I would have done it if they weren't with us since my DD was too young to really get it, although she did have fun. We didn't go around as long as everyone else, we did about 3 blocks. She liked handing out the candy at home to the kids more.

HALLOWEEN
Ds was just shy of 3 months last year and I took him just for the experience. I hooked up with some neighborhood mom's who have older DC. We only lasted or for about 20 mins b/c it was chilly and DS hated his costume. This year we are going out again hopefully the weather is good.

Re: HALLOWEEN
absolutely.
Took AJ trick or treating at 2months old, then at her 1yr old there was no where to go trick or treating but we went out and tried! (very sad) but every year since we trick or treat!

Re: HALLOWEEN
Nope--I really don't need my neighbor's candy that badly.
We stayed home and gave out candy. She was dressed in her costume.
