When did u retire the swing?
Ds is 6 months and we rarely use it just don't want to regret packing it away!

When did u retire the swing?
4 months. By then DD was napping in her crib so we packed it up which made room for the excersaucer.

I am trying now as dd is 6 months too. I am trying to get her to nap in the crib but its very slow haha.
We used it all the time for naps which I regret now  but she's getting to big for it

DS napped in his swing until he was almost 5 months old. Then he's start arching has back, kicking and screaming when we tried to put him in the swing. That's when we knew he was done with it.

dd stopped using it around 5 months - she would try to get out of it. at 7 months she goes in it again now. there are times when she seems tired but doesn't want to nap - but will sit happily in the swing for a good 20 minutes or so

At five months ds tried to get the swing to move higher by lurching forward on the upswing. Figured it was time to retire it.

I think about 4-5 months. After the first month he wanted nothing to do with it anyway (lucky me).

About 6 mo. I just used it for naps til then and I want them to nap in cribs at that point.
Plus I needed the room for a playmat ion that area.

DD is just over 9 months and we still stick her in it from time to time. She's small for her age, so fits in it easily. It's our last resort for times when she refuses to nap in her crib.
We'll probably pack it away next month.

We put it away when he was about 4 months. He really did not use it anymore so why take up the space!

DD is 4 months and still naps in the swing. I am relieved from reading everyone else's posts that this is not odd and seems kinda normal! I am not looking forward to taking it away since she naps really well in it. She does sleep overnight in her crib so I know she can do it, I'm just afraid!

This is comforting...! DS is 5 months and naps in the swing and I don't see it ending anytime soon. How did you transition to the crib for naps?

This. DS started using the exersaucer and Jumperoo and we put away the swing. He did still use the boucer though.

11 months it is still out. She goes in it when she is crabby and actually relaxes…it is cute! I am scared it is going to tip though lol!
