Another turkey question...
If I buy a Turkey at Thanskgiving- how much do they cost? I'll need a 20 pounder or so plus some turkey breasts.
If I were to get a free one at shop rite- how much do I need to spend in the month (or however long) to get a freeone?
TIA

Another turkey question...
The price will depend on alot of things...frozen or fresh, supermarket brand, free range, organic, heritage, kosher, etc. I wouldn't buy anything now, keep an eye on circulars, the prices will get very competitive at this time next month.
Last year, you needed to spend $ 300 from October to mid November to get a Shoprite brand frozen turkey. I think the free ones are usually up to 20lbs. The cashier usually tells you when your price plus card reaches free turkey level.
ETA: If you decide to order from a local farm, you need to order early, call farm to see how to reserve
