DQ review
OK so I had originally said we didn't need another fast food chain here on LI, but I have taken DS here a couple of times and I have to say I am pleasantly surprised.
Not so much with the food (I've gotten the grilled cheese both times), but the "kids" who work there all seem so sweet and polite.
I just stopped there with DS as a treat to get him some ice cream and we sat in the "lounge" area on the couch.
One of the girls came over and was asking us if we needed anything, was talking to DS and she told us she hoped we enjoyed our visit when we got up to leave.
We stopped there for the first time a few weeks ago with DH and one of the girls was the same way. She was striking up conversation about DH jacket (he was wearing a Giants jacket) and it just flowed from there.
I also think the hype is dying down.
I think it's a good place to go for families, especially if you are looking for something to do on the cheaper side of things.

I want to try it but only once the hype dies down (like Sonic). Did your DS eat anything? How was that?

He ate my fries that came with the grilled cheese and then he had a dipped cone that was free since she put it down as a kids meal. The whole thing was $4.99 plus tax.
I then went to the drivethru on the way out to get DH and I ice cream. The line was starting to build up inside.
Only negative was they had just run out of chocolate soft-serve.
Back to my diet tomorrow.
