They teach you the test-taking strategy and what material to focus on.


A few colleagues have recommended them and I actually ran into 2 colleagues there that I know who are in the same boat as me---having put off the test for so long.


I bought the book in advance, and now have 2 copies so wouldn't mind lending to someone local if you want to leaf through it.

Go to the class though!!! Suck it up, it's only $130 which is really not that much in the grand scheme of things.

I learned so much more than just reading through the book (Which they say is really the only thing you need to memorize to pass).

ETA: It's also the same class for LCSW candidates and there were several there who had passed the LMSW with them previously. They also are planning to set up classes on Long Island soon, but there were several people who travelled today from out of state to be part of this.
