Re: Hi! We recently found out we are expecting twins!
Congrats! Boppies helped me when I was home alone. Lots of help from family that first month was a blessing. The snap n go stroller is so light and almost any infant car seat fits. My girls are 10 months and I still use the double snap n go.

Hi! We recently found out we are expecting twins!
my son was 15 months when we found out we were expecting twins- it is lots of work but now mine are 2 and 4 and they are so much fun and play together nicely
lots of help in the beginning
if you want to nurse I loved the double brest friend pillow- I tandemed nursed
double snap and go is a must and I learned to even let my older son ride on the handle bars
my big stroller which was great for walks with all 3 was the valco baby twin with an extra seat -called a joey seat on the front - it worked great for all 3
just try and get them on the same schedule - we used to have all 3 nap at once - I tweaked schedules so I got some down time during the day

Re: Hi! We recently found out we are expecting twins!
#1 It's not as scary as you think it will be!! I remember my terrified feeling when I first found out I was having 2. I don't know how you feel about it, but it's amazing how the motherly love and schedules do all kick in
#2 PODEE bottles if you are giving bottles at all (I nursed and gave formula for my sanity) just depends on what you plan. These bottles are awesome, and they figure them out pretty darn quick. I get stopped everywhere, people wanting to know where to get them, and multiple mommas wishing they had them.
#3 Rock N Plays - I was alone OFTEN with the babies as my husband works a lot. These made managing 2 at that young age much easier. Able to move around the house, pick one up, put one down etc etc...plus my 5 year loved pushing them around the house, lol
#4 LOTS of boppies as PP said.
CONGRATULATIONS and GOOD luck, I wish you a wonderful pregnancy...you will love having those babies. I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat!

Hi! We recently found out we are expecting twins!
Congratulations!! Twins are so much fun! I am opposite. I had my twins first and found out i was pregnant with # 3 a few days after their first birthday. If you can get help, do it!! Especially in the beginning. If you don't have help, you'll get yourself on a routine pretty quickly. The things that I found helpful when i first had the twins were:
2 boppies- Best things ever! I never really used it with my singleton but with the twins i used them religiously.
I tried breast feeding but my babies were in the NICU for 30 days and by the time i was actually allowed to nurse them they had to learn to bottle feed first and they weren't nursing well. So i pumped. But i did use the double my breast friend for a bit while trying to BF and i loved it. So if you plan on BF'ing, this pillow works great!
Since I had to use bottles, someone had gotten me these little bottle pillows. They're called Leachco Keep it up bottle holders or something. LOVED THEM! I'd put the babies in their boppies and sit next to them on the floor while i folded laundry or was able to actually eat something myself. When they got a little bigger and started moving around too much, i'd sit them in their highchair and prop the bottles in the bottle holders on their highchair trays. Worked great.
I had 2 infant to toddler rockers. Best things ever. My twins are 2.5 now and they just stopped using them when the baby was about 5 months old. But when the twins started holding their bottles, i'd sit them in the rockers and give them their bottles while DH and I got ready for work.
Double Snap n Go is awesome!
Definitely get them on the same scheduled. Sleeping, eating. If one wakes to eat, wake the other. If one naps, get the other one down for a nap. Your sleep is definitely needed, so feeding them both at the same time in the middle of the night will help!
Having 3 so close in age is so much fun. Now that my baby is 13 months, the twins are 33 months and the three of them are inseparable. Good luck and wishing you a great pregnancy.

Re: Hi! We recently found out we are expecting twins!
Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!
These are the things I can't live without. My twins are 12 weeks. - 2 Rock & Plays - 2 Playpens (1 upstairs and 1 downstairs) - I wont ever carry both up/down the stairs together, so this was my savior. I'd pop one in there bc I knew they'd be 100% safe. R&P are safe, but not 100% with a 2.5yo running around! - Boppies - I have 2 - My Brest Friend pillow if you plan to nurse. - 2 swings - 2 chairs - bouncy or papasan type - Double Snap & Go - My DS is a bit older than your DD, but he just walks along side holding on to a carseat. - Double Stroller - I have the City Mini with the glider board on the back for my DS if he is too tired to walk.
I used the first set of everything from when my son was a baby... the second set was either passed down from a friend/family member or purchased used. There's a great FB group that I have bought a ton of stuff from - Long Island Multiples Buy/Sell/Swap. I wouldn't buy anything brand new!

Hi! We recently found out we are expecting twins!
This is so great, congratulations! Although I only have twins, the best advice I can give you is to do everything at the same time- feeding, naps, etc. as much as possible. It makes things w/twins so much easier having "one big baby that takes a long time". I agree with 2 boppies, they saved my life! I personally had to separate them out of the same crib at 5months, while some babies sleep together in the same crib till they're 1, or even longer. I hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy!

Re: Hi! We recently found out we are expecting twins!
These are all awesome answers - thank you all so much!
So, few questions ... would you put them down for naps awake? I made a big mistake and always rocked my DD to sleep for naps and bedtime and now we cant get her down without us. So I 100% need to do something different with the twins. Like what if theyre crying when you put them down like my DD would do? I felt bad just walking away. haha
How do I put them down? Same bassinet or different? When I move them to a crib should they be together or have their own from the start? Should they share a bedroom or have their own?
We are SO excited and feel so grateful for this! I just want to make sure we do things right from the start to make everything a bit easier to handle :)

Hi! We recently found out we are expecting twins!
hi! I always always put them down awake- and starting at 1 month, naps were either in the infant bouncer with the vibrating thing on, or in the swings, not up in the bassinet or crib. I did this because I wanted them to learn the difference between night and day. Night time? Dark, laying down, soothing... etc. Naptime? Day: sitting up slightly, blinds open, random noises, phone ringing dog barking etc... They slept through the night at 6 weeks and always just fell asleep when it was their nap time, no matter where they are, even today. LOL today, bella fell asleep in the high chair. Idk why, it was a little early, but hey. I also followed the healthy sleep habits twins book on how to self-soothe. I really found that it works. The only thing they really "love" is the white noise machine when they sleep. I have a portable one but I don't always use it. They do nap laying down in the pack n play.

Hi! We recently found out we are expecting twins!
ours took naps in the swing and bouncer for a few months as it was just easier and they were comfortable. But for bedtime, and after we ditched the rockers, they always went down while awake. Not while crying, but awake and chilling out. If they were in the middle of a breakdown, we'd just soothe them, then pop them in their cribs.
Ours never shared a crib/bassinet and that worked for us. And I'd definitely recommend, one crib or two, keeping them in the same room just for convenience sake. No running from room to room to change diapers or check on babies... it made it easier too while feeding or changing or whatever to be able to interact with the other baby if they were all cranky.
congrats by the way, twins are absolutely insane and amazing!

Everyone told me the same thing and after the first week, I stopped trying to keep them on the same exact schedule. I have an almost 3 year old and there is NO WAY that having 3 children awake at the same time was easier for me! Both of my babies have a routine but they are not exact. Once I'm done feeding one, the other one is ready to eat... when one is falling asleep for his nap, the other one is sleeping already or about to wake up. They have a lot of common awake time, but it was easier for me to deal with one baby at a time! You'll get into a groove and determine what works best for you!
