Please share your VBAC stories and the reason for your original c-section?
Just under 5 weeks to go, need some inspiration! DD was an emergency section after 30 hours of labor and her heart rate was dropping very low. I was late but went into labor on my own and got to 5 cm.... She then turned her head as she descended and I went BACK to 3 since my cervix swelled. After all of it she had a fever and was in the NICU with some pretty intense (all precautionary) testing (tubes down to her stomach ... Etc) we couldn't hold her until the first day and I couldn't BF until the day we left! Needless to say it was the opposite of what I thought it would be. Thankfully all was precautionary and she was able to come home with me and we had a great chance to "start over"
Of course I don't want to go through any of that again, I'm hoping things go a lot smoother and of course if I need another section I will get one.... But I really hope I can do it!
Thanks for sharing your experiences

My twins were a csection due to pre eclampsia.
I had a vbac with ds. The doctor said the worst case scenario for a vbac would be my water breaking without contractions. That is exactly what happened. But 24 hours later my ds was born! No csection! Good luck!

A friend of mine just had a vbac. With her first dc she was in labor over 30 hours and wasn't progressing. Eventually had a csection. The second one was much quicker, and she had zero complications. She is extremely happy she was able to do it! Gl

I had a successful vbac.
With my first I had a c-section after 24 hours of labor, dilated to 10 cm and pushed for 3. My son wouldn't move so I had a section.

DS was An emergency section. I progress to 7 cm and then when he began to drop his heart rate dropped because the cord was around his neck.
I had a VBAC with dd. Best decision I ever made. Hey monitored me very closely to make sure I didn't have the same problem. I pushed for maybe a half hour and she was out.

Re: Please share your VBAC stories and the reason for your original c-section?
I had an emergency c because my daughter was facing sideways instead of face down. I had 20+ hours of back labor because of it. Her heartrate decellerated and that was it... I was rushed in.
My VBAC story is on the birth story thread. It was a totally different experience. I had supportive providers, a great DH, a hospital that had a high success rate for VBAC, and a little bit of luck. It was an incredible experience and I wouldn't trade it for anything. If you're a good candidate, I highly recommend going for it. Good luck!
