Baby #2
Hi ladies. I just found out I am having baby # 2 yesterday. I have been feeling nauseous on and off all day. This is very different then my first pregnancy, I was only nauseus once in a while at night, and never vomited.
If you are on your 2nd, did you have a totally different pregnancy, or pretty much the same?
I hope this isn't a peek of what I am in for in the next 3 months !!!
Thanks and Congrats & good luck to all

Re: Baby #2
this pregnancy was totally different from my first.
with dc#1 - i walked around feeling "hung over" for the first 14 weeks. i never actually got sick but i was always queasy. i also had horrible painful gas for the entire 9 months. i never felt constant movement ~ i would often confuse gas pains w/ movement ~ i was also always swollen.
with this baby - i never felt nausea, no sickness, no gas - the first 25 weeks were a breeze. i remember i loved going to the doc in the beginning so i could hear the hb because i had no "symptoms" telling me i was pregnant. after week 25 tho i had begun experiencing totally different ailments. all the veins in my left leg popped out and are so ugly and purple. i also found this was accompanied by pain. i had bad sciatic pain - couldnt even walk some days. i developed asthma (result of hormone fluctuations) this was very hard - i sometimes couldnt even have a conversation without getting so winded i needed an inhaler. this baby MOVES. morning, noon, night - standing, sitting, walking - i constantly feel this baby move!! i find it very painful and uncomfy.
so ~ for me ~ totally different pregnancies. hopefully for you the sickness goes away and you have an easy road ahead! good luck!

Re: Baby #2
Different! With #1 I had no symptoms. This time I seem to have them all! Nausea, MS, headaches
Last time I gained a ton of weight, this time at 20 weeks in still down 4bs from my starting weight.
ETA, around 17 weeks I started to feel better.

Re: Baby #2
Both girls, both totally different!
With DD 1, only felt nauseous at night, was very tired, was huge but felt great!
Just had DD2...I didn't even need to take a preg test because I felt atrocious immediately. Felt awful the entire time, insomnia, carried only in my belly.

Yes!! This pregnancy is 100% the opposite of my first. With my first I was constantly nauseous and couldn't eat anything but carbs. I was so bloated, I think I gained about 10lbs within the first trimester. With this pregnancy, I feel fine. I don't even feel pregnant- no nausea, nada.

Re: Baby #2
I'm currently pregnant with #2 and so far, no offense to my little baby growing in me, I've hated nearly every second. I am nauseous 24/7...I hate the sight, smell and sound of food.
My OB gave me meds to deal with the nausea and puking, but it makes me so tired I can barely function, so I take it sparingly at work.
My 1st pregnancy with DD - I had no issues whatsoever. This is making me think this pregnancy is a little boy, but the gender reveal won't be until after Christmas.
All I can offer is if you feel like crap, talk to your OB at your apt and get the meds. They work really well - as I stated above, it makes you drowsy, but I would certainly rather feel sleepy rather than feeling like my stomach was going to explode up my throat.
PS: Congrats and I'm sure your LO at home will be equally as excited!

Different for me too. Physically I am more tired and feel agita /nauseated more often than the first time. I also seemed to be much happier the first time, and a lot more crabby this time! Probably because I always feel tired AND have a toddler to run after! =)

The same - constant nauseau until 18 weeks, extreme fatigue whole first trimester. The only thing that's different is my skin is worse this time! We're not finding out gender but I suspect it's another girl.

Re: Baby #2
I'm also on my 2nd and its 100% different from my first. With my 1st I felt fantastic never got nauseous or threw up. This time I feel horrible all the time, from 6-12 weeks I threw up every day and felt nauseous all day long and was hardly able to get off the couch. Luckily at 12 weeks I got my energy back and I've only throw a few times since. Hope you feel better!
