Do they have a favorite store they buy their stuff in? Cause I know I've learned it's pretty expensive!
If it's a girl, sweatbands are fun, or a runner's sweatshirt.

Gift advice for an avid runner
if you know their size, running gear (especially winter gear) cold be a wonderful gift.
as others have stated, running gear can get expensive
