I know it's early but let's talk about xmas tree
This will be our first christmas in the new house. I want to buy a nice one. Any difference among the trees? Or it doesnt matter? Passed by them at Home Depot and I thought i saw a "cashmere" tree?? But looks the same as any other. The kids and I are so excited about putting up the tree.

I like the ones with the realistic looking needles, not the ones with the fake looking ones. I got mine at Sears.

Re: I know it's early but let's talk about xmas tree
DH and I go out east the 1st weekend in December and cut one down.
$30 for practically any size and then you can really see what it looks like.... and it last much longer than the pre-cut ones.
Its become a nice tradition for us.

We buy a real one from Home Depot. We cut one down one year and it died right away. The ones we get from HD have always lasted.

we usually do this, but by the time we got to hd last year, there were no trees left. so i think we bought our tree at walmart. last year was late do to many december activites.

Yes please share! We go to HD for our tree and always get a great one at a decent price but $30 is awesome!

When we get real trees we ALWAYS get Frasier Firs. They are beautiful and last FOREVER. I usually put it up right after Thanksgiving and it still looks awesome, is alive, and sturdy right through New Years. Great branches for decorating.

Lewins has any size tree for $30 but IMO they grow the trees on top of one another and it becomes very difficult to find a decent looking tree. Last year I tried grandpa Tonys tree farm in manorville and for an extra $10, we had a slew of gorgeous trees to choose from! You can work with grandpa on price but I think the range is $40-50. Family run by his grandsons. They will even help you cut if needed and carry or you. Very very nice people and I was happy to fork over extra dough for such a pleasant experience.

I know it's early but let's talk about xmas tree
i bought my tree two years ago from Lowes. But you have to go fast, like the beginning of November to get the tree, if you wait till the middle or after Thanksgiving, they will be all gone. I don't remember what the name of the tree is, but our tree is 8ft tall and i believe i paid $330 for it. it has those natural looking branches and is pre-lit

We go to Lewin Farms ... Lewin Farms Link
I do recommend you make it an early morning and get there at opening time... Other wise you'll be parking quite far... We usually get there by 8:30a .. and even though they open at 9 - there are enough ppl there that they start the tractors going.
