Dry Shampoo

I have started trying wash my hair every other day instead of every day but I just love the feeling of fresh, clean hair. I was thinking of trying a dry shampoo for the 2nd day.

Anyone use it? What brand is best? Thanks.

I saw that Dove makes one and Suave. I'm not looking to spend alot of $ unless I really love it.

Re: Dry Shampoo

Ok I just had this same thought yesterday when I was shopping at target. I bought the Dove one and used it yesterday.

It is white when it comes out. You have to really comb it through otherwise it looks like you have grey hair. Or at least my dark brown hair looked like it had a ton of grey. I had to comb it a lot.

It does give volume. I was shocked at how big my hair got by brushing. I have never had such voluminous hair ever. I liked it for this purpose.

It smelled funny coming out of the can, but it had a very pleasant smell later on.

I am not sure how I feel about it. I had to shower last night and wash my hair to get it out of my head. I just felt like it felt like chemicals were sitting on my head.

Over all it does what it says it will do, it smoothed and volumized my hair. My hair looked good, but it did not save me much time. I spent a good 20 minutes on my hair. I could have just washed it and 1/2 way dried my hair in the time that it took to use it. I will try it again, but I am not 100% sold on it yet.

eta: but maybe I did it wrong. I tried following the directions on the back of the can. I am curious if others have tips or tricks to using it.

I know Ulta sells brands that make the dry shampoos to match your hair color. I never used it but my friend always uses the colored dry shampoo

Dry Shampoo

I've tried a lot of them and the best one hands down is Klorane. I always get it from Amazon.

Re: Dry Shampoo

Not a fan of it.
It does nothing for me and just makes my hair feel even more dirty.
I wash every other day too and I never feel like my hair is unclean or not fresh. So for me, it's pointless.

Dry Shampoo

I have tried a few expensive and inexpensive... I still feel like I have dirty hair. I feel like it looks like a have a ton of hairspray in my hair. And I feel my hair winds up greasy towards the end of the day.

Also to add I am someone who loves to run my fingers through my hair or tends to play with the ends (my hair is long). I also do no need to wash my hair every other day. By day 3 I wear it in a ponytail and then wash it thta night.

I have tried Psst and Tresseme (both drug store brands) HATED tresseme and it smelled gross. The Psst is not bad it was the best one out of all of them.
I also tried an expensive one from Sephora which I cannot remember the name of. I just remember it was a Tall skinny brown bottle It was the worst one by far. AND I tried Bumble and Bumble, which you have to get in your hair color. I liked this one but it was pricey I felt. Especially when you can get a drug store one for like $5 LOL I felt it worked just as good as Psst.

So if I was to recommend one I would say try Psst. It looks like an old school barber salon bottle its white with red and blue really old school looking.

Re: Dry Shampoo

It took me a long time to find a good dry shampoo!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Batiste

I touch my hair constantly so I'd have to wash everyday to feel clean. Now I can get three days out of my blow out! You have to spray it on and then run your fingers in it hard to mix it in. Then I brush it. It smells awesome, gives me body and instantly makes my hair look clean!

They actually have it today as a groupon!!
