looking for work in another state... headhunter??
should i look into having someone help me look for a job for our upcoming move?
i'm a paralegal and will have about 18 months experience by the time the move comes around.
i feel that i'm "paying my dues" right now by taking a low-paying position... but i don't want to work for pennies for the rest of my life. i would love help in finding a better position for when i get to california.
is a headhunter the way to go? if so, does anyone know of anyone?
i was toying with the idea of getting serious about job hunting in january/february.

No idea on the HH, but is there anyone you can talk to at your firm that may have contacts in California?
I always feel networking is the way to go in ANY field.
And in the day of social media, odds are someone you work with even has friends in your field that live in CA they could send a quick message too, KWIM?

Network. Linked In, Facebook etc
Also, once you establish a move date and have a location pinned down, put that in your cover letters. That was how I gotcallbacks before I moved.
