Bedroom Furniture
We bought a cape home and made one of the rooms upstairs a master bedroom. We are having issue picking out bedroom dressers & chests bc of it's size. The landing and space to move is very small and we might have a hard time getting the furniture upstairs. Does anyone know of places that sell 2 piece armories/chests or furniture that can be assembled in the home besides Ikea? I'm looking for something durable. TIA!

Re: Bedroom Furniture
Maybe they can take it apart and put it together in the room?
My sister had the delivery guys take apart her couch a few years ago because it didn't fit through her door

Yeah I'm being told couches and other furniture can be easily dissembled but not dressers :(

Re: Bedroom Furniture
As long as you have the ceiling height I think you should be able to get the dresser into your room. Can't they just lift it up when they get almost to the top of the steps and then bring it back down in your room?

The problem is the height and size of the landing. This is such a PITA!

Re: Bedroom Furniture
I have a cape and you would be amazed by what furniture people can do. Both my daughter's bedrooms are upstairs and they both have beds and large dressers up there. Furniture delivery people work with all types of homes. A lot of the beds come disassembled and they usually put those together. The mattress is flexible so that will bend. They know how to angle in dressers. I got most of their stuff from Bob's but I am sure any furniture store can do it. You can always ask the salesperson when you are there. I'm sure you are not the only one with a master bedroom upstairs in a cape.
